Ruta Serenity Initiative (RSI) held a highly productive strategic meeting with the leadership team at Green Empowerment to advance sustainable rural water systems in Uganda.
The engagement focused on strengthening WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) interventions, improving technical design standards, and enhancing long-term system sustainability in underserved communities. As an indigenous Ugandan NGO, Ruta Serenity Initiative continues to prioritize climate-resilient water infrastructure that responds to the realities of rural communities facing water scarcity, environmental degradation, and limited technical support structures.

A key outcome of the meeting was a strong commitment toward capacity building and ongoing technical support for RSI’s water programs. This support will significantly enhance our ability to deliver professionally engineered, community-managed water systems that are durable, scalable, and aligned with national water sector guidelines.
At #RSI, we recognize that sustainable water access requires more than infrastructure—it demands strong local institutions, technical excellence, climate resilience planning, and community ownership. Through strategic partnerships such as this, Ruta Serenity Initiative is strengthening its institutional capacity to implement gravity flow schemes, borehole rehabilitation, rainwater harvesting systems, and solar-powered water solutions that ensure long-term functionality.
Operating across multiple districts in Uganda, #RutaSerenityInitiative remains committed to advancing sustainable development through integrated WASH programming, environmental protection, renewable energy promotion, and community empowerment. This collaboration represents a significant step toward expanding equitable access to safe and reliable water services for rural households, schools, and health facilities.
We look forward to translating this partnership into measurable impact—improving public health outcomes, strengthening climate resilience, and delivering lasting water security for the communities we serve in Uganda.
