Welcome to the Ruta Serenity Initiative (RSI)
Founded in September 2023, RSI is an indigenous Ugandan non-governmental organization dedicated to empowering communities across the country. Our mission is to empower communities through sustainable socio-economic transformation, advancing gender equality and sexual and reproductive health while addressing key challenges in health, education, livelihoods, and the environment. Through strategic partnerships, innovation, and a focus on sustainable development, we strive to uplift lives, promote environmental stewardship, and create lasting change

Empowering Rural Uganda with Water, Sanitation, and Clean Energy.
We empower rural Ugandan communities to build healthy, resilient futures through safe water, sanitation, SRH, gender and renewable energy. Working with local institutions, communities, schools, and the private sector, we strengthen systems and champion women’s participation to create lasting, inclusive change for families to thrive
Our Approach
We drive community transformation through research-driven human-centered designs, collaborative partnerships with local authorities and CBOs, capacity building, strategic service delivery, and advocacy efforts aimed at promoting sustainable development and enhancing community well-being.
