Ruta Serenity Initiative (RSI) is proud to announce the successful completion of Phase One of our Clean Energy, Green Future Project in Kasimbi Sub-County. Since November, we have reached 32 households, equipping families with improved energy-saving stoves that reduce firewood use, lower indoor air pollution, and promote sustainable cooking practices.
For many rural households, traditional three-stone fires have meant high firewood consumption, forest degradation, and harmful smoke exposure. The stoves introduced in this phase are changing that reality
—cutting fuel costs, easing pressure on forests, and creating healthier homes.

But this is only the beginning. Phase Two will scale up impact by expanding access to both energy-saving stoves and biogas technology, ensuring more households and institutions benefit from clean, reliable, and sustainable energy solutions.
This intervention is part of RSI’s integrated approach in Kibaale District, combining:
🌳 Tree Growing & Reforestation – restoring degraded landscapes
🔥 Clean Energy Promotion – expanding stoves and biogas adoption
💧 Watershed Management – protecting water sources and ecosystems
Community participation remains central to our work. Beneficiary households were actively engaged in stove construction, learning skills that strengthen ownership and sustainability. As we move forward, this participatory model will continue to guide biogas adoption and stove expansion, ensuring communities are not just recipients but drivers of change.
Phase One is more than infrastructure—it marks the start of a movement toward climate-smart living in Kasimbi Sub-County. With Phase Two on the horizon, RSI is committed to scaling impact, strengthening local capacity, and building a greener, healthier future—one household at a time. 🌿
This work contributes to RSI’s broader environmental strategy and builds on similar efforts already implemented in Kamwenge and Ngora Districts, where communities are experiencing the benefits of clean energy and reforestation.
With #RSI we’re making change real: better #Sanitation, smarter #EnergySavingStoves, safer spaces through #GBVPrevention, stronger #SRH awareness, and greener living with #CleanEnergy + #EnvironmentalProtection. Let’s do this together!
